Socializing Your Puppy
Socializing your puppy in the third or fourth month of life is essential for a healthy interaction with other breeds and humans. Some puppies may see only their own breed or their human parents and may become shy once socializing is introduced.
This is the time to find a class where your puppy has the opportunity to meet other puppies and humans and to learn the first beginning stages of what all the fuss is about.
Yes, socializing your puppy in being polite is part of life both with humans and puppies alike. In my years of training puppies and dogs, I have laughed until I cried with how they zoom around the room, jump high in the air over one another and even growl and paw playfully at another puppy. Don't be alarmed, it's all happiness and joy that they're experiencing at seeing other puppies that are larger, shaggier and louder than they are.
